Last week was Social Media Week and we at Spoonfed were very excited to find out what London’s cultural tweeters were up to. Our first stop that week was a Twitter inspired meet-up for Theatre lovers called Twespians. Aimed at all lovers of theatre, Twespians is a semi-regular tweetup for theatrical types living in London.

Theatre fans across London have long been using social media to spread the news about new shows, conduct interviews and even tweet a full length performance of Romeo & Juliet.

There’s plenty more scope for theatre fans to get involved with social media and the good news is that after the first 5 events in 2010, the Twespians organisers Luke & Laura are planning to host lots more throughout 2011.

We snapped a quick video of Twespians co-founder Luke talking about their exciting plans for the New Year. You can watch it in full below or head over to Spoonfed’s YouTube page.

We filmed the above clip with a Kodak PLAYTOUCH Video Camera, making it easier to share our video across Facebook & Twitter.
