We Recommend: Travel Onion
Here at Spoonfed, we love local recommendations, in fact the reason we think Spoonfed.co.uk is pretty special is because all our editors have exceptional local knowledge of things to do around London. But what about when you’re travelling further afield? There are hundreds of travel sites that give a rough overview of cities across the world, but where can you find a insider’s guide to your favourite destinations? Well, a brand new site hitting the web this month has the answer.
Travel Onion is a collection of the world’s best travel blogs that currenly cover New York, London, Washington DC, Paris and Tokyo. In the next few months the network will expand even further to includes places like LA, Sydney, Barcelona and Buenos Aires.
If you want to see what other locals think about our favourite UK city – have a look at their collection of London Travel Blogs!

What a great idea….brilliant actually, I’ve been waiting for someone to weed through the web and pick out the best blogs for travel….this will make my travel planning and travels much easier.
I found out about Travel Onion a few weeks ago and am really glad to see that it’s launched. Apart from being a great resource for travel blogs and information, it also represents an interesting way to search for travel on the web. I’m a huge lover of travel, but have trouble following destination specific travel information…great that someone is finally out there organizing all of this (and is focusing worldwide, not just the US!) to give travel lovers a good destination for blog/newsletter info.
I’m looking forward to seeing them expand to other locales – I’m from Boston originally, and it would be interesting to see if they can dig up some new local hotspots for me to check out.
Thanks for the post! We really love Spoonfed and are happy to be introducing your site to new readers both in London and around the world.
