Knock Knock…

Submitted by Spoonfed on Monday, 8 March 2010No Comment

The Stag’s Head is one of Spoonfed’s favourite London venues! If you’re ever near Hoxton (which for the uninformed is but a short walk from “trendy” Shoreditch) then this has to be on your list of things to see.

From the outside The Stag’s Head probably just looks like your typical old-man pub, but hang around for a little bit and you’ll see that this place offers a whole lot more than ale, nuts and darts. The pub holds regular live music events on its small stage, a regular quiz night, free BBQs in summer and even a few cool album launches recently. The best thing is – all events at The Stag are FREE!

The Stag’s Head’s latest bid to revolutionise the great British pub is The Knocking Shop – their own online TV channel showing the best of the pub’s late night entertainment. The off-beat humour is a bit Vice (but actually funny) and includes highlights of some top gigs, interviews with bands and a snippet of their weekly dating event – Blind Drunk Date – hosted by The Stag’s very own crossing comedy host Cilla Zack!
