Clash of the Titans: Twestival Vs I Heart Spoonfed
Spoonfed is a website and you like websites, therefore you like Spoonfed. Yes, I’m stating the obvious and bastardising a classic philosophical equation, but the fact that people like Spoonfed really is worth bringing up as often as possible.
However, the problem with people who like websites is that they like lots of websites. When your two favourite sites have real-life events on the same day it creates a bit of a dilemma. It may be easy to dip in and out of World of Warcraft while updating your blog and checking Facebook, but far trickier to have a face-to-face conversation in two places at once.
Twitter fans among you may have heard of a trifling little thing called Twestival, which is hosting an event in London that kicks off a week today. Twestival is not only a very worthwhile use of Twitter to raise money for charity; it’s also a huge global event and a sort of Live Aid for the tech community. We’re big fans of Twestival over here at Spoonfed but the problem is that we’re hosting our first party (I Heart Spoonfed) on the very same night. Uh Oh!
Luckily for all you very popular people who’ve been invited to both events, we have a solution to solve your social etiquette woes – do both! Twestival kicks off at the respectable time of 7pm, and as the Spoonfed crew will be down in Shoreditch with our free BBQ from 8pm till late, there’s nothing stopping you from making I Heart Spoonfed your after-party of choice. We intend to boogie on well into Friday morning, but if you still don’t believe it’s possible to have your cake and eat it too, look out for a few friendly Spoonfed faces that’ll also be dropping in on Twestival that evening.
Looking forward to seeing you all at The Macbeth for I Heart Spoonfed on September 10th! #i<3spoonfed
