Make a Plan

Submitted by Spoonfed on Tuesday, 5 May 2009No Comment

A few weeks back we announced a brand new feature on Spoonfed. Make a Plan allows you to coordinate your outings and invite all of your friends to your favourite events, even if they aren’t on Spoonfed! Your personal event page allows you to see who has RSVP’d, see who hasn’t replied and discuss the upcoming event with your friends. Once logged into Spoonfed, you can visit any event listing and click the new Make a Plan button to get started. You can see all of your plans and initiations in the Plans section of My Spoonfed.

Spoonfed users throughout the city have coordinated outings with their friends with the Spoonfed Make a Plan feature but have you ever wondered what invitees who are not on Spoonfed see? Here’s a look at what happens if you send a plan invitation to a non-Spoonfed user.

Just like a plan email that goes to a Spoonfed member, a non-Spoonfed invitee gets an email with all of the details you specify in the plan, including the time, meeting place, location, description and a link to the original event with direction, ticket prices and reviews.  From the email they can accept or decline the invite.

They can see the event details without registering for Spoonfed, and can accept or decline the invitiation. However, when they RSVP, they see the following screen:

If they want to see the other invitees, participate in the discussion about the event or make their own plans, the registration process couldn’t be more painless: just a password, username and first name and they’re in! Otherwise, they’ve got all the details they need in the original email and you as the organiser knows who’s coming and who’s not.
