I need a new pair of trainers. But I’m terrified of trainer shops. I’m always worried that I’m going to choose the wrong kind of hi-tops and get laughed at by some asymmetrical fashionista, his feet clad in the latest premium, limited edition, Japanese footwear. It’s a bloody minefield I tell you!

So when a friend of mine told me about the internet I was delighted. Apparently you can buy things on your computer without ever having to venture into intimidating little shops ever gain. But then another problem: there’s just so much internet all over the place that it can be hard to find the right bit of it.

My technologically-savvy friend then suggested I try SoleHeaven.com, which I duly did. And it’s brilliant! They’ve got brand new, specially customised, and limited edition trainers by big names like Puma, Nike, Adidas and Gravis, so you can get cool points whilst pottering about in Hoxton. But the site’s also functional, friendly and fun. And there’s no hipsters peering over my shoulder and mocking my choices, partly because all the shoes on the site rule, and partly because, fortunately, the hipster count in the Spoonfed office is pretty low.

So check it out: SoleHeaven.com. I’m going to be buying the Gravis Cortex hi-tops and then I’ll stride along Old Street like the cool kid I always dreamed of being.
