New Spooner
So, today is my first day at Spoonfed and it’s all very exciting, although someone just put Avril Lavigne on which is quite worrying. I’m hoping it will stop soon…
As a thank you for welcoming me into the Spoonfed team, I thought I’d bring along a small offering in the form of baked goods (I heard they like cake). So last night I put my culinary skills to the test…and failed miserably. I made the schoolgirl error of forgetting to line the tin (actually, I didn’t forget, I just didn’t have any grease proof paper and wasn’t prepared to venture out into the cold of the night to get some). Unsurprisingly enough, the cake refused to come out of the tin, and as I hammered on the back with a rolling pin, it fell apart. A mini tantrum later, I decided to stick it together with jam in the hope that noone would notice.
As I type, Joe is now preparing to cut the cake, and I’m preparing to blame him for it falling apart – he has poor cutting skills, clearly.

There’s nothing wrong with Avril Lavigne. She rules. FACT.
Cracking cake! It was completely delicious… even if I did smash it to smithereens.
Just like to add that the cake has been eaten and it was delicious. Just goes to show that extra jam is the way forward…
