My Spoonfed Gets a Makeover

Submitted by Meg on Friday, 20 February 2009No Comment

It’s been a little while since we did any major updates specifically for our amazing Spoonfed registered community so over the last few weeks, the development team has been working non-stop to overhaul the logged in section of the website. (What’s that? Not registered?? Head on over to the Spoonfed Registration Page to fix that!) My Spoonfed has received a full makeover, making it easier than ever to see a customised guide of the events you’ll like best in the areas of London you visit most.

Because things look a bit different, here’s a quick tour of the new features and where to find your favourite old ones. You can access My Spoonfed by clicking the link on the navigation bar anywhere on the site to be taken to your personalised guide.

This new look matches with other Spoonfed search results pages but only displays the events and areas you select in your preferences. To change your preferences, simply click “favourite genres” or “favourite areas” next to the text Fancy a Change? and make your updates. To view results for a different date, just click the calendar icon that appears above your results. You can also filter your saved events and your friend’s saved events by date. Choose ‘Watchlist‘ or ‘Friend’s Events‘ on the upper right section of the screen.

Don’t forget, if you want new event ideas beyond your personalised guide, you can get the top weekly recommendations for all of London as made by the Spoonfed editors with the Spoonfed Cultural Quality Control newsletter, available to all members. If you’d like to make sure you’re receiving the newsletter, head over to the Cultural Quality Control page and sign up. You can also manage your other email settings, such as event notifications and information on what your friends are up to by clicking the (settings) link at the very top right of the Spoonfed page to set your email notifications.

If you want to know more about Spoonfed, read some recent press or see where we’re headed in the future, then make sure you stop by our updated About Spoonfed section as well.

We’d love to hear your feedback – what do you think of the new My Spoonfed section? What are some of your favourite genres and areas? Do you prefer to look to your friends for event ideas or do they come to you? Let us know what’s on your mind by sending us an email at feedback@spoonfed.co.uk or leaving us a comment below. Have a great weekend!
