Love. Art. Booze.
Valentine’s Day? Good. Sculpture? Good. Amaretto? Bloody brilliant!
But, how on earth would you combine all three? Well, the good folks at Disaronno have found a way. This Friday and Saturday they’re getting a replica of the statue of Juliet that stands in a courtyard in Verona and putting it in Covent Garden piazza.
Touching the statue is supposed to bring good luck and we’re sure the replica will be no different. Plus there’s a love wall where you can scribble sweet romantic nothings if you fancy it. The best of these will get published here so nothing rude, thank you.
Disaronno apparently still use the same recipe that they did way back in 1525, so it’s possible that old Shakers himself partook of the exquisite tipple. I certainly like a bottle or two before bed, so it’d be nice to feel that I have at least one thing in common with the big Bard.
